Technology Coordinator · 2019 — 2022
Overview
Technology infrastructure and coordination for a youth and community leadership organization operating nationwide. Over three years, I built and maintained the digital backbone for social, environmental, and educational programs — connecting 200+ active volunteers through automated systems.
The challenge was scale with minimal resources: large volunteer networks, multiple concurrent program cycles, and coordination across geographic distances — all manageable through smart systems design.
What I built
- —Implemented RapidPro for automated community communications — volunteer onboarding, program enrollment, event coordination, and impact follow-up, all running through structured conversation flows.
- —Led volunteers in nationwide social, environmental, and educational projects — coordinating teams across multiple program cycles simultaneously.
- —Participated in a national committee for digital youth engagement initiatives, designing scalable communication infrastructure for youth-facing public programs.
- —Managed digital presence and internal communication systems for the full volunteer network.
- —Designed data collection and impact reporting systems for donor and institutional partners.
Why it matters
This was systems thinking applied to social infrastructure. The same discipline — define boundaries, automate what can be automated, build what holds — works whether the system is a Java microservice or a volunteer coordination network. The medium changes. The discipline doesn't.
